I love food, cooking, eating, and serving, so when I developed this gluten allergy last October/November I was sad. I went from being able to eat anything I wanted to this very limited world where I run from bread, soy sauce, & pasta (two of my favorite foods are Macaroni & Cheese and Fried Chicken)!
The past 8 months have been an adventure to say the least. I have a new understanding for people who diet b/c its hard to just stop eating certain things. Nonetheless, I have been successful in my transition AND found a few benefits along the way!
I’ve lost about 20lbs just w/this change in eating (plus my daily Shakeology) and learned lots of new ways to prepare and enjoy food.
Health benefits aside I also had to revamp my habits in dining out. I love a good chain restaurant as much as a unique out of the way cafe and so far Applebees has a GREAT selection of Gluten Free dishes vs TGI Friday’s.
