Regarding the concept of “real women cook” being the same as “real men are chivalrous”
FYI the equivalent of being a gentleman (opening doors, helping w/coats, getting the car so she doesn’t have to walk far in heels, offering your seat…) is on par with being “ladylike,” and things like wearing dresses/skirts, crossing your legs (especially in a skirt) speaking softly, doing hair makeup, having grace & sophistication.
The equivalent to cooking, cleaning is fixing things, building things, providing the income, etc…
One set is about how you treat others, conduct yourself in public, and present yourself, the other is in-house responsibilities.
A “lady” does not have to cook, a “gentleman” doesn’t have to fix or build.
